Southwest SC GU11, GU13 and GU16 traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii in July to compete in the 11th Annual 2004 Honolulu International Cup hosted by the Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club. Games were played at the Waipio Soccer Complex.
The GU11 team coached by Khaled Al-Shafie had a wonderful experience in Hawaii. Although they did not bring home the gold, their memories are forever.
The GU13 team coached by Heidi Hornsveld had a 2 game win, one tie and 1 loss bringing home a bronze medal.
The GU16 team coached by Rachid Moulay Elbekraoui also brought home the bronze. They had a tough fight batteling the host team "Honolulu Bulls". Winning 3 out of 4 games with 11 goals made overall wasn't enough to capture the Gold. This is their second trip to Hawaii last year being a finalist.
All the players, parents and coaches had a memorable experience and hope to return to the Island of Hawaii. Aloha
