The name was derived to honor a man who was one of the founders of Southwest Soccer Club. John Blanches’ love of soccer, his dedication to the game and the players inspired the dream, now the dream has become a reality.

This complex is one of the largest in Southern California. It is 42 acres and will accommodate 20 full size fields and two 8 V 8 fields. This is a huge asset to all sports organizations in Southern California and the Temecula/Murrieta Valley.

The fields will be host to multiple soccer tournaments during the year, which will bring visitors and tourist dollars into the community. Tournaments already schedule are:

• Southwest Winter Classic Tournament January 18 & 19, 2003
• Southwest Summer Classic Tournament June 7 & 8, 2003
• Southwest International Tournament August 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2003
