Arsenal Boys U-08 Excel at CA State Games Tournament
Arsenal Boys U-08 with Coach Nick Broughton finished as the Silver Medalist ( 2nd Place ) in the California State Games tournament in San Diego this weekend. (July 12-13, 2008) The boys played amazing soccer competing against U08 and U09 teams. On Saturday, the Arsenal came out on top by winning their first game 4-2 against the Chula Vista Pumas. On Sunday in their third game Arsenal come away with a 3-0 victory over a tough U-08 Vista Storm team. With this victory it advance Arsenal to the championship game against a tough Aztec FC. In the semi-final game the boys played a great game but fell short thus taking second for the U08 tournament.

We are very proud of your accomplishment this weekend and the great sportsmanship that the team portrayed. “Thank you” to all our parents for your support and for your contributions in making this a special weekend for the boys.
