SWSC Boys Looking Ahead

After a busy league season the teams are looking forward to State and National Cup. They have taken many positives out of the league season and have had a pleasing run as the holiday season begins. There has been good reaction from everyone in the boys program and they are proud of how strong they have stayed collectively.
The boys and their teams are starting to answer a few questions that have been asked of them and these answers have come in the way of performances and results this season. None of them are taking things for granted. In many ways the hard work starts in the next couple of weeks as they set themselves up for the challenge of climbing the State and National Cup ladder.
Several of the results have been the best performances from the teams over the last three seasons. They way they have passed the ball, created chances and the way the boys teams have upset some very good teams throughout Southern California have been amazing.
What has stood out this season is the work ethic of the players. They have pressured opponents which has been the key to our teams getting results. The emphasis to the players has been to keep winning the one to one battles in order to keep winning games. The character and unity has shown through this season from our younger teams all the way to the olders.
The teams will enter the New Year in good spirits. The teams will be very fit and just about everyone will be available with players coming back from injury. They will need to keep building on what they have achieved through pre-season and league and take this into the cup competition. The players will be very focused on the job in hand and prepared to role their sleeves up to get the results.
We are very lucky this season to have had a group of players who give everything when they go onto the field. They have been through a tough period at times but never given up hope. In adopting a step-by-step approach to achieve short term goals, while also keeping their eye on the longer term picture.
The support from he parents has been fantastic this year with the teams and club. We want that relationship to continue to grow as we work for a stronger bond between the club and parents.
We hope that we can send you into the festive period on a high note and are determined to make next year an even bigger success.
