Local Heroes Part 4

Fourth in a series of six. We take a look at some of the local heroes of SWSC from the Boys teams.
This week we have Double Trouble Same Club, Same Position and Same Family. Geneva Plays for the u15 & younger Brother Mackey players for the u13 team. Both have played a vital part in the teams promotions this season.

1. Who has had the most influence on your careers so far?

Geneva: My mom and dad have had the most influence on my career so far.

Mackey: My mom and dad have had the most influence so far.

2. Before the start of the season what was your natural position and did you ever think both of you would end up in the same position?

Geneva: I was used to playing mid-field before, and only on rare occasions do I get to play there now. I got shoved to the back for this season but I have enjoyed it.

Mackey:I have played mid-field and left defender. But I never thought I would play the same position as my brother. Kinda strange that we both play sweeper on different teams.

3. Who is the best soccer player in the family?

Geneva: I would have to say myself, Mackey is not even close to me but my older brother is pretty good.

Mackey: My older Brother Chris. As for Geneva I'm two years younger but I still think I'm better :)

4. What do you think about your new team & team mates?

Geneva: I have really enjoyed the new team and my team mates are pretty cool to get along with.

Mackey: I like my new team and team mates a lot. Couple of Strange ones but we all get along.

5. What appealed to you about joining Southwest?

Geneva: I like Southwest because of their high expectations and the variety of training.

Mackey: Playing for a new and better team appealed to me and watching my brothers team train.

6. What was it like playing in a local derby game for the first time?

Geneva: I was very nervous, Words can't describe the first game, you had to be in the game to get the feeling for it.

Mackey: Was strange stepping onto the field as I use to play for the other team but once I settled down I really enjoyed it and they put up a big fight in the first 30 minutes.

7. What have you enjoyed the most since joining Southwest?

Geneva: I like winning and the variety of practices

Mackey: I like the different type of practices Southwest has. It makes it more fun.

8. 8. Have the Nicknames stuck and do you ever get your kits mixed up?

Geneva: Yes. And most of the time I know what to wear.

Mackey: Yes my nickname has stuck and sometimes I do get the kits mixed up. When My brother is too lazy he takes mine instead.
