 U19 Nomads Thanksgiving Showcase Champions
The Comeback Kids Second Chapter
The SWSC BU19 Premier had a special Thanksgiving treat for the club and their families by winning the Nomads Thanksgiving Showcase that ranks as one of the top tournaments in the US. The team started the tournament by winning their 3 bracket games: CRSC Brigade, 1-0; Edison Tigers from North, 1-0; and Forest FC, 3-0. In the Quarterfinals they beat Necaxa, 4-0; Semifinals beat PSC Thunder, 3-0; and in the Finals the team beat a great team from Washington, FC United, 3-1. The team built more confidence with each game. They played 6 games in 3 days and outscored their opponents by a 15-1 margin. The key to the team’s success was they established a great deal of teamwork, commitment to the game plan, positive attitude and fun. SWSC is proud of our BU19 Premier success this year and wish them the best of luck in pursuing their college dreams.
