SWSC GU12 Finalist Canyon Hill Cup
Southwest Soccer Club’s Girls Under-12 Elite team began 2007 with a Finalist finish at the 2007 Canyon Hill Cup January 6th -7th. This was an impressive finish for the team who advanced to the quarter-finals of Coast Soccer League's 2006 League Cup and then went on a three week Winter break. The team coached by Jenny Lawlor, put together 3 impressive wins against Laguna Hills Eclipse, CVU and Palmdale Thunder to advance to the Finals to play West Coast United. This team showed what it is made up coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the second half to tie the game and send it into over-time, followed by another over-time period where the team lost in pk's.
The team will next compete in SWSC Winter Classic January 20th - 21, Celtic Cup January 27th - 28th on the road to Cal South's State Cup.
