The Comeback Kids
The premier league for BU19 has been called the toughest league in the US and the number one recruiter for college players. During the NHB tournament, our BU19 suffered a large amount of injuries. After having a great showing at the NHB, we knew that our start in the Premier League would be a tough one. Starting without 5 key defenders was a setback for the team, and it showed by a very poor start of 0-4 allowing 14 goals against and scoring only 2. During this period the team got some help to fill the roster on the field from our Gold team BU18 and BU16. The following 7 games the team got healthier and had thoroughly incredible ride.
They were the only team that went with an unbeaten record in the league for the last 7 games with 4 wins and 3 ties, scoring 16 goals and allowing 10.
This success story was accomplished by hard work, commitment, teamwork, focus, respect, dedication and the full support of the club and parents, especially the support the team received from our BU18. This was a great team and club effort.
The team also has made it to the Quarterfinals of the League Cup which will be played Saturday, Nov. 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the polo fields.
Both of our BU18 and BU19 will be participating at the Nomads Thanksgiving Showcase. We wish both the best of luck for the remainder of their season.
